Two people are wanted on murder charges after a shooting that occurred Wednesday evening near North Augusta. 

Aiken County Sheriff's investigators are looking for information on the whereabouts of Shirlette Danielle Hayes, 29, and Stephon Xzavier Dunbar, 23, Capt. Eric Abdullah said in a news release.  

Witnesses reported seeing Hayes and Dunbar drive away from the scene of a shooting that occurred at 5:22 p.m. on Old Aiken Road according to an incident report written by deputy S. Williams. 

When deputies arrived, they founded a Black male lying face down next to a car, Abdullah said.

Tavaris Burley, 32, of North Augusta, was pronounced dead on scene according to a news release from Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables. 

Hayes is described as being a Black female with an approximate height of 5'8" and an approximate weight of 120 pounds.

Dunbar is described as being a Black male with an approximate height of 6'0" and an approximate weight of 130 pounds. 

Aiken County Sheriff's deputies arrested Dunbar in connection with a March 9 shooting near North Augusta. He was released on a $60,000 bond by an Aiken County magistrate. 

Both should be considered armed and dangerous.
