One person is dead after a one-vehicle collision in eastern Barnwell County. 

A person driving a 2004 Lincoln Navigator was traveling east on S.C. Highway 300 when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree early Friday morning, Lance Cpl. Brittany Glover of the South Carolina Highway Patrol said. 

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was killed, Glover added. 

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and Barnwell County Corner's Office are investigating the crash. 

Glover said no more information was currently available.
