A man was arrested and charged with kidnapping after a woman refused to give him a ride to a vape shop. 

The victim of a Thursday night shooting in Aiken County has been identified.

Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables identified the victim as 56-year-old William J. Collins .

Deputies reportedly responded at about 6:50 p.m. to the 1400 block of Sparkleberry Lane and found a male victim who had been shot. Ables said Collins was pronounced dead on the scene and will be autopsied in Newberry.

The suspect, Vance Mack Fleming, 61, was arrested on the scene and taken to Aiken County's detention center, according to the report. Fleming is reportedly being held pending issuance of an arrest warrant for murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

The sheriff's office and Aiken County Coroner's Office are continuing their investigation.

Scottie Scheffler finished off what he called a “hectic” week at the PGA Championship by surging to an eighth-place finish. The world's top-ranked golfer shot a 6-under 65 to finish at 13 under for the tournament. The round came two days after Scheffler spent time in a Louisville jail following his arrest on charges stemming from a traffic incident. Scheffler is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.
