Dworjanyn – Lamberts

Dr. and Mrs. Robert John Lamberts

Ms. Elizabeth Bodenheimer Dworjanyn of Columbia, South Carolina, and Dr. Robert John Lamberts of Grovetown, Georgia, were joyfully united in marriage on the sixth of May, 2023, at the Church of the Holy Comforter in Martinez, Georgia. The intimate 4:30 ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Glenn A. Palmer and a string trio provided music for the service. The bride was escorted by her sons. The children of the bride and groom (John Harris Dworjanyn, Nicholas Peter Dworjanyn, Jonathan William Lamberts, Elizabeth Emma Lamberts, Christopher Michael Lamberts and Caroline Hope Lamberts) stood with their parents during the wedding vows. Readers were Mr. Paul Robert Carlier and Mrs. Susan Beattie Vebber, both childhood friends of the couple. Mrs. Jane Cole Scott assisted as the Eucharistic Lay Minister. The groom performed a surprise vocal solo for his bride and guests accompanied by the trio. The flowers on the altar were given in memory and gratitude to the bride’s parents and the groom’s father.

A wedding dinner followed the service in Aiken, South Carolina, at Tiffany’s at the Stables at the Rose Hill Estate. Celebrations will follow later in both Augusta and Columbia in the summer. The couple honeymooned after the wedding at the river home of the bride’s sister and brother-in-law in Black Mountain, North Carolina. A trip to Iceland is planned for September.

The bride is a graduate of Clemson University and is the Director of Senate Finance for the South Carolina Senate. She was born in Aiken, South Carolina, and is a daughter of the late John Travis Bodenheimer and the late Kathleen Felder Bodenheimer. The groom is a graduate of Houghton College and Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is a physician and CEO of Welcome Health in Augusta, Georgia. He was born in Rochester, New York, and is a son of the late Robert Lewis Lamberts and Margaret Van Mouwerik Lamberts. The couple will split their residency between Columbia and Augusta until they decide upon their permanent home.
