Highfields Event Center will again host Aiken Music Fest. The concert series begins Saturday with Scott Tournet & The Spark.

A venue known for its equestrian events will be home to a variety of concerts this summer during the 2024 Aiken Music Fest series.

Concerts begin Saturday at Highfields Event Center, and this year’s opening show will feature headliners Scott Tournet & The Spark.

"Tournet is known for being the frontman for Elektric Voodoo, a founding member of Grace Potter & The Nocturnals (2003-2014), Blues & Lasers, a solo artist and producer. With The Nocturnals he was a co-writer on three Top 40 albums and scored a gold record for the song 'Paris,'" according to promotional materials.

In addition to his work with the Nocturnals, Tournet has written and recorded with Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys), Willie Nelson, T Bone Burnett, Kenny Chesney, Alison Krauss, Mark Batson (Dr. Dre, Alicia Keys, Eminem) and others, according to promotional materials. He has performed with The Allman Brothers, members of The Grateful Dead and Phish, Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top) and more.

Will Slater and the 53 will also perform Saturday.

Also taking the stage this season are:

June 1: Jamie McLean Band with Will McRanie;

July 6: Grits & Greens with Banjo and Friends;

Aug. 10: Sam Burchfield & The Scoundrels with Mamie Lewis and Victoria Camp;

Sept. 7: Doug Deming & The Jewel Tones with Anybody's Guess; and

Oct. 12: Abby Bryant & The Echos with Goodnight Lizzy.

Gates open at 6 p.m. and music starts at 7 p.m. In addition to music, Aiken Music Fest offers BYOB tailgating, kids activities and food trucks. Tickets are $15 per person.
