Bradley Plumbing & Heating, Inc. was founded in January 1952 by Walter J. Bradley, a native of Metter, Georgia. He was a son of an Irish im- migrant father, who instilled in him a very strong work ethic, which he passed on to many employees who passed through his doors over the years.
His company began in a small build- ing on Williamsburg Street near the current Farmers Market with maybe 8-10 employees. The next move was
to 150 Rutland Drive, N.W., where the business had been located since March 1, 1970.
The business grew and became more successful in its new location. Howev- er, the greatest change came when Mr. Bradley married Jewelle Wright Redd, who brought a young step-son into his life. Mr. Bradley instilled in Tim his strong work ethics, principles and fair- ness in dealing with all people.
In 1994, when Mr. Bradley’s health declined, Tim with Mrs. Bradley’s help continued to successfully expand
the business.
Under Tim’s direction, Bradley
Plumbing & Heating, Inc. has become one of the largest Mechanical Con- tracting firms in the area. The compa- ny has grown to a multi-million-dollar operation with a work force of 50-60 people working in two states.
Since this is a family owned and op- erated business, Tim is proud to have his son, Timothy, now as a Project Manager over Commercial Plumbing Jobs. His son-in-law H.E. Platt, IV, (HEP) is now Project Manager over Commercial HVAC jobs. His mother is now Mrs. Bradley-Crowley and is still in her office most days if she is in town.
Tim looks forward to passing Brad- ley Plumbing & Heating, Inc. to his children and grandchildren.
Bradley Plumbing & Heating, Inc. now operates a 24 hour Service De- partment for all residential and com- mercial HVAC systems we well. Our Plumbing service department is also available for emergency calls.
