The Aiken Land Conservancy announced Wednesday it had completed the process of establishing a conservation easement to protect 2,658 acres of land seven miles north of Aiken along Mason Branch Road and Shiloh Church Road.

The property is bordered by the 601-acre Sylvia Cullum Whitney (Eureka) Preserve which has already been permanently protected.
